Tuesday

7.00 to 8.30

An opportunity for Absolute Beginners to learn the first steps of Ballroom and Latin Dancing. Many have come into class  feeling they had two left feet and are now dancing regularly.

This is a drop in class and popular with those who are not sure that they want to commit to a course before they have had an opportunity to find out if Ballroom is for them and also those couples who work shifts.  This is a very busy class and always focuses on the Absolute Beginners walking in each week.

There are no medals and no exams just a lot of fun and laughter. We hope you will join us.

Friday

6.30-8.00p.m.

This is Intermediate Level Social Dancing.

Everyone in this class, who have aquired the level of skill required, works in their own time  and at their own level.

We regularly introduce new figures and routines that can be included into the basic steps learned in the beginners classes. Sequence Dances are a great resource for different amalgamations, so we introduce and experiment with the dances and the figures in them. Dancers then choose the figures they want to add or discard to their Freestyle Routines.

Time is also spent on technique and presentation so dancers can look their very best when they are dancing.

Again there are no medals, but anyone dancing at this level, having learned the terminology and figures, could, if they chose go on to take qualifications in Ballroom Dancing.

Sunday

9.45 to 11am

Beginners Level 1

A step up from the Absolute Beginners. A class for those who have mastered the skills of musicality and movement. Once  aware of the basic movements in Waltz, Social Foxtrot and Quickstep they can use this framework to move forward. Our aim in this class is to get you dancing at the local dances. We develop your basic Ballroom routines and add in Sequence Dances you will see in our local clubs and dance halls. The teaching includes terminology and the identification of figures preparing dancers with the skills they need to move into the Intermediate Class or join a Modern Sequence Dance Club.

The classess are very light hearted and you will get tons of  encouragement from everyone.

If you have no partner and want to dance, do contact us,  we may be able to help.

_PLEASE NOTE  THERE IS NO CLASS ON NOV. 1ST. ___________________________________________________________________
