It was Audrey Singleton’s father, Harry Ashworth (Thanks Roy) who started this competition in the Isle of Man. We are desperately looking for photographs of our daughters, Liz and Sue dancing there. We had some great times and good memories of the people we met. We hope if we can post them they may jog some memories.
Tomorrow is the big day. After two years the ISDC comp is back home in the Bridlington Spa Ballroom. What a great job they seem to have made of the venue, there are pictures on www.msdworld.co.uk and they are worth a look.
This competition is part of a four day festival that involves not only the dancers and the visitors but also the Mayor and Councillors, Hoteliers and Shopkeepers of Bridlington. It is very much an event that touches the majority of peple in this small town. If you are free and in the area Bridlington is a beautiful little seaside town and well worth the visit.
Have a great day and Good Luck to the dancers and we look forward to the results on Sunday.

Hi
I think you will find that it was Audrey Singleton’s Father Harry Ashworth who started this Competition… as I used to go with his group during the 60’s with my Parents……
regards
Roy
